I research the origin of the products I buy, especially how the store-brand products are manufactured, I prefer responsibly produced products and those straight from the manufacturer.
I do not discard chemicals and other hazardous waste to nature or bodies of water because they might pollute water et al., I support charities focused on improving medical aid, drink tap water instead of bottled water.
I prefer locally sourced fish or MSC certified seafood; behave responsibly in nature, especially at nature reserves; while buying souvenirs of natural materials I make sure that they have been produced sustainably; I submit my organization to be a friend of fair trade.
I use less energy, choose a green energy package; possibly produce part of energy myself with solar panels and wind generators; buy products without packaging or with little packaging and use my own bag for shopping; do not buy products manufactured with child labour.
I am an active citizen; I take part in some city organization and inclusion-budget voting; I travel on foot, by bike or public transportation; I visit café’s awarded for fair trade amiability.
I am interested in how Estonia contributes to reach sustainable development goals and encourage politicians to work even harder; I research the options I have to take part in development partnership through Mondo and choose the means most suitable for me from there (e.g. Partner schools, donations, volunteer work, promoting public awareness); make sure that my own consumer habits do not create more poverty.
I support children’s education in developing countries, see what interesting things are happening at maailmakool.ee, and think what I can do to improve world education, for example, invite an educational exhibition, workshop or guest to my facility, or sign my class up to take part in HeaTeoTööpäev charity project
I only buy things I really need, I repair and recycle materials if possible, avoid disposable dishes and plastic bags, buy fair trade and organic products and local produce.
I prefer items produced by companies which focus on environment and employees’ rights and support entrepreneurship in developing countries as well as Estonian rural areas.
I am an active citizen, participate in elections and speak up if I feel like someone’s rights are being violated, I support improving rights for minorities.
